There is no easy way to say  what should not be said.  The words fear their placement  they know the horror.

CryThe child sits in his room and plays.  His toys spread in front of him  like willing soldiers for a general.  He directs them at his pleasure  and smiles all the while.   
A rumble is heard throughout the house,  but not from his imaginary war guns.  Suddenly the battle is still,  he sits silent and motionless  and slowly begins to cry.   
The noise is gone.  There is no more battle today.  The child still is crying  when his mother comes in to comfort.  But the tears shall never end.

DrowningThis is a new feeling.  Drowning.  I didn’t know that it was possible  To feel like my life was being  Leeched away slowly  Like it didn’t matter anymore.

PuzzleIn the shop of horrors,  You found me in my box of self-denial.  I was torn and broken, tired and worn.  The color, was faded from the pieces of my heart.  No longer was I beautiful.  No longer was I a part of majesty.  I was a living nothing.

The Quietest ScreamPain can evoke sounds so stark  that the shrillness can cut through black shadow  to be your companion in the dark.   
Fear is similar in the ability  only directed at things you can see  sound bouncing off the walls violently.   
Combine them both and you have something special  a shriek out of this world that the deaf can hear  but no way to record it and make it real.   
The times you are weakest is when it is loudest  the sound inside thundering above all the rest  with inner equilibrium being put to the test  yet the lips don't move while you shudder  hence t The Quietest Scream

Mood: Oddly Contemplative

Oh dear, I seem to have dumped a series of deviations. Well, I am all out of finished works, so I am confident of a sharp decrease in productivity. Now I realize that I am really only writing to my lone watcher (hiyah Sakura) but I felt some formal introduction was called for.

I am a tentative poet desperately in need of guidance. Please feel free to comment.

Finally, my name, or whatever it is called, is derived from my favorite quote by Henry David Thoreau. In his essay "Economy" Thoreau comments that society is a bloc of people enslaved by their work, or he so eloquently stated: "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation."

My works are my quiet way of voicing my desperation.
